Surrounding yourself with nature is a proven way to bring numerous benefits to both the body and mind. Nature has the ability to inspire creativity, enhance problem-solving skills, and provide a sense of peace and tranquillity. Set within the stunning natural landscape of Rio de Janeiro, Casa DA embodies this idea. The project, designed by Pedro Coimbra in collaboration with Zanini de Zanine, is an exceptional example of an innovative and unique architectural project that prioritizes the natural environment. The house is situated in a breathtaking natural setting, with the forest serving as its stunning backdrop. One of the most striking features of Casa DA is its seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces, achieved by having only necessary walls.

Dudu, the dweller of Casa DA, shares his exceptional experience of living in this open house, surrounded by nature. Every aspect of the house is designed to make the most of the surrounding environment. The bath outside with the water that comes from the spring is one of his favourite experiences. For him, the house serves as a filter that enhances his connection with nature, improving his overall well-being. When asked about his favourite space in the house, Dudu responds that he loves every space and takes advantage of them all. He particularly appreciates the comfort of the interior of the house with the feeling of being outside, thanks to the integration of spaces, which is a feature of the project.

Dudu firmly believes that Casa DA can serve as a model for future housing projects. He highlights the importance of intelligent conceptions, the idea of occupying what is necessary, interacting with the spaces, realizing the best they have, and enhancing the possibilities. According to him, these premises are essential to creating high-level architecture that gives soul and identity to constructions.

Casa DA is a remarkable architectural project that prioritizes the natural environment and the well-being of its inhabitants. The house serves as an inspiration for future housing projects that can have a positive impact on the lives of their dwellers. Its success is evident in the positive impact it has on Dudu's life, who begins and ends his days in connection with the divine in its best manifestation: nature.
