    John Prentice [Principal, Sydney Studio Chair at Woods Bagot]

    John Prentice is an Architect and Urban Designer with 25 years of global experience. As a Woods Bagot Principal and Sydney Studio Hub Leader, John has a steadfast commitment to design that places human experience at its core, leading the design collaboration for major city-shaping projects across the Transport, Residential, Retail, Commercial, Hospitality, Health and Education sectors. Defined by an empathetic design approach, John is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning architect. His notable projects include Sydney’s Central Station, Crows Nest Metro, Wynyard Walk, the luxury retail precinct at 25 Martin Place and the Nan Tien Cultural Centre. His broader urban vision is reflected in his masterplanning work across Sydney Olympic Park Metro, The Bays and Pyrmont Station, projects that continue to shape Sydney’s evolving fabric. His leadership has been recognised through participation in both the NSW State Design Review Panel and the Landcom Design Review Panel, where he has contributed to the shaping of city-shaping projects across the Transport, Residential, Retail, Commercial, Hospitality, Health, and Education sectors. Beyond the studio, John is an advocate for greater diversity within the profession, committed to fostering a more inclusive and forward-thinking culture across architecture and design.

    Guillermo Dürig [Architect and Managing Director of DÜRIG AG]

    Guillermo Dürig is a Swiss architect based in Zurich. He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) in 2013. After interning at Juan Navarro Baldeweg in Madrid between 2009 and 2010, Guillermo joined Jean-Pierre Dürig’s practice in 2013 and became head of DÜRIG AG in 2021. His main interests lie in the development of radical and conceptual projects, as well as in the realization of public buildings and large-scale infrastructure. In 2015, Guillermo co-organized the summer school ‘MAU’ in Motovun (Croatia). From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a teaching assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Marc Angélil at ETH Zurich. He has been a guest critic at various universities, and his expertise is recognized by clients through jury work and consultancies. His work has been widely published and presented internationally.
