Architecture Hunter have always believed that architecture is more than just buildings - it’s about people, ideas, and stories. With this in mind, a new editorial video format arises, created to deepen our connection with the architectural world through powerful, narrative-driven films. This new approach is not simply about showcasing projects - it’s about uncovering the stories behind them.
According to Luiz Ferriani, Partner and Executive Producer at Architecture Hunter, the motivation behind this shift was to dive deeper into the universe of architecture using narrative as a central tool. “Storytelling has the power to engage viewers, making content feel more personal and immersive,” he explains. By incorporating cinematic techniques, the editorial videos aim to create a closer, more emotional connection with the audience, transforming the way architecture is experienced.
These films go beyond the physical structures - they reveal the creative processes, the intentions, and the values that shape each project. As Luiz points out, “Our editorial curation is focused on presenting original and profound content. We want to stay true to our essence - a commitment to quality, a sharp visual perspective, and a deep respect for the human and visual narrative surrounding each work.”
Film Director and Video Content Developer Gabriel Alencar emphasizes that this new format also opens the door to explore themes beyond the conventional. “The idea behind the Editorials is to step out of the usual project or architect spotlight and tell broader, culturally relevant stories,” he says. Take, for instance, the *Ohtake* editorial, which weaves together architecture, art, theatre, and design to reflect on a family legacy that has helped shape Brazilian culture. “It’s about telling stories that matter,” Gabriel adds.
Perhaps the greatest strength of this format lies in its flexibility. The freedom to explore different subjects - from legacy and education to the relationship between architecture and art - allows each film to be tailored with its own unique storytelling approach. “Every episode is crafted to convey the essence of the message and the project it represents,” says Gabriel.
