The Lake House designed by the architect office mf+arquitetos is a luxurious modern residence situated on the edge of a lake in Uberlândia, Brazil. It offers stunning views of the surrounding natural landscape and provides its occupants with a sense of connection to nature while offering a comfortable and sustainable living space. The use of natural materials like wood, stone, and concrete adds to the house's visual appeal and helps regulate the temperature, creating a comfortable living space year-round.
According to one of the dwellers, the Lake House is a modern and spacious house with well-defined and bold geometric features, mixing raw and solid elements like exposed concrete with natural elements like stone and wood. The house is integrated into a leafy tropical landscape and bordered by a natural lake with running water. Living in this house feels like being on vacation, providing peace and well-being while allowing the dwellers to completely disconnect from the urban environment and enjoy nature.
The Lake House's interiors are characterized by their clean, contemporary lines and minimalist approach, while the outdoor spaces are equally impressive, featuring a beautiful outdoor pool and a well-manicured lawn that provides an ideal space for outdoor activities. When asked about their favourite space in the house, the dweller replied that they do not have a single favourite space. The different seasons, times of day, and activities they practice at each moment place them in different points of the house, whether it be in front of the lake in the late afternoon or around the ground fire drinking wine in winter.
Living in the Lake House is a unique experience that provides a perfect combination of modern design and natural beauty. As described by the dweller, it is an environment that provides rest and peace while also being a super inviting space to receive friends, worship nature, and have many activities in a single place without having to leave the house. The Lake House is a true masterpiece of modern architecture, showcasing how luxury and sustainability can perfectly integrate with nature.
