The House in Peruíbe, is a marvel of both modern and traditional design elements. Its owners vividly describe how their home has become an aesthetic and sensorial haven, deeply integrated with its natural surroundings. "The dynamic and nature-aligned style of construction has heightened our sensitivity towards our home, providing new ways of coexisting with spaces," the owners reflect. Indeed, this harmonious blend of architecture and nature was orchestrated by João Meirelles de Faria, who turned his artistic vision into a tangible living experience for the homeowners.
In an age where homes often risk becoming mere functional spaces, the House in Peruíbe stands out for its ability to enhance daily life through its design. "The harmony between concrete, glass, and wood, opening and closing the environment in an incredible combination, has a constant impact on our day-to-day quality of life," say the owners. And it's not just about the materials; the experience of living in this house is marked by the moments it creates. The expansive glass walls provide panoramic views of the night sky, including the moon and stars, right from the living room sofa. "From our kitchen's island counter, we can enjoy our flower curtain that falls over the swimming pool, making it a perfect spot to watch our grandchildren swim. This sort of integration promotes communal living and synergy," they elaborate.
The owners also discuss the sensory richness that comes with the changing weather and the natural world around them. "Taking a cup of coffee while enjoying the hummingbirds in our garden is an ever-enriching experience. We also relish the contrast of the heat from the heater on stormy, chilly days—a synergy of sensations we would certainly miss in a traditional home."
When asked about their favorite aspect of the house, the owners are quick to mention the view from their workspace. "The office gives us a 360-degree view of the garden, which significantly boosts our creativity. A quick glance around immediately refreshes and recharges our energy."
The House in Peruíbe is a triumph in architectural ingenuity, blending modern aesthetics and traditional sensibilities in an unprecedented fashion. Its owners find it not just a place to live, but a realm to experience—a testament to the transformative power of well-considered architectural design.
